Fate Testarossa vs OutRun

Fate is a fictional character in the anime series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. She is named after the Ferrari Testarossa. This model was made by a Japanese fan and looks like it could be OutRun inspired.

Custom model of a Ferrari Testarossa modified to a convertible version as seen in OutRun.
I came across this detailed model based on OutRun and the characters of the original game.
The model is a 1:24 scale Ferrari Testarossa by Monogram.
The model source was Japan, The figures do look very good quality and close to the game.

Jackie Abuhazera has been a fan of OutRun since 1987, he mentions on his own blog that OutRun was the one game that stood out to him in the arcade.
So he decided to make his own version to bring back his memories…….

Love the lit header/top sign. Taken and adapted from the 80’s U.S GOLD home computer box art. Looks stunning!
The artwork and design ready was done very well and makes this racing arcade machine at home look very professional.

I’ve been at the Lego again over the last 3 weeks to have a go at making OutRun Deluxe arcade machine.
It’s probably taken a good 6 hours overall to put this together…between keeping my 2 boys happy.
The only thing I would like to do better would be the wheels. The wheels are not similar to the arcade and they are also out of place.
Generally though I really like it.

I came across this great model by Steve Carpenter.
He has used the workings of a Gameboy Advance and Sega Arcade Gallery to run this home built machine.
Even the wheel and pedals etc work.

Hand Painted OutRun Tie ๐ช๐ธ
Painted by artist Maya from Madrid,Spain Yu Suzuki would be proud to wear this to collect his next Award.
It’s great how Maya has managed to replicate the game in pixel form.
So you want to get hold of one of these Tie’s?
Check out eBay, but don’t expect to get one cheap. The last one sold for over 300โฌ!
OutRun Arcade Machine Model
Ivan, a regular contributor to OutRun 86 Blog has shared some photos of his miniature OutRun arcade machine that he recently bought.
The model is mainly made from modeling wood but also includes a mini LCD screen with several images of OutRun that change over time.
If your interested in getting one of these models you can pick them up on eBay or checkout SubZero’s Models although Sub Zero’s site has recently said that his models are to be discontinued.
OutRun Bead Art
Check out this cool looking OutRun bead art recreating a classic OutRun screenshot.
Taking over 2 days to complete and using 13’000 beads its an impressive piece of work.
You can pick one of these up on eBay or etsy for the price of $50.

Custom Built OutRun Testarossa by Vic Veinz
We’ve seen a few excellent custom OutRun models before but this is a first for custom posable figures.
Vic has used pieces from various other figures to create these custom OutRun characters. Alberto the driver of the ferrari was made Wolverine arms, his face and head from Daredevil with painted black glasses . Clarissa uses parts from Street Fighter 2’s Cammy and other figures.
The Ferrari is a 1:12 scale Testarossa kit by Monogram. The car was modified into a convertible by cutting off the top half.
……..and the legendary OutRun crash!!!!!!!!!
